TIMELESS

7 TIMELESS DIMENSION

No-one has ever loved me
as you did,
Nor ever will.

I breathe your name
into the quiet room.
Are you here still?

I listen for your l
aughing gentle voice,
Your soft footfall.

Only the carriage clock
you used to wind
Now mocks my call.
Its ticking rhythm
hammers through my brain.

Oh, what is time?
It seems such waste
for men to love.
create
And reach their prime,

To struggle with great odds,
achieve so much,
Then cease to be.

But is this so?
I only know I feel
You close to me
In a dimension .
quite outside the clock.
